Divine Appointments and Divine Tests

God does not place people in our lives randomly. Every connection carries weight. Some arrive like sunlight—steady encouragement, gentle correction, holy motivation. They stir something higher in us. They remind us who we are in Christ. They challenge us to grow.

Others arrive as a test.

Not every smile is an assignment. Not every opportunity is a blessing. Some relationships measure our obedience. Some conversations expose our loyalty. Some invitations reveal whether we value approval from people more than alignment with God.

And here is the humbling truth: we are also sent into the lives of others.

Sometimes we are the encouragement.
Sometimes we are the warning.
Sometimes we are the lesson.
Sometimes we are the test.

God may position you in someone’s life to strengthen their faith—or to reveal the condition of their heart. Your presence may draw them closer to Him, or it may expose what they truly love more than Him.

This is why discernment matters.

There may be many tests. There may be one defining moment. Often, the test does not announce itself. It comes disguised as romance, friendship, promotion, flattery, comfort, or even sympathy.

If you stay close to God—truly close—you will sense it.

You will know when to allow yourself to be loved and when affection is manipulation.
You will know when to step back from a friendship that pulls you away from obedience.
You will know when to speak the truth and when to remain silent.
You will know when to minister and when to guard your peace.
You will know when to encourage and when to confront.

Psalm 37:23 says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” Ordered steps require surrendered hearts. The closer you walk with Him, the clearer your path becomes. Not easier—clearer.

Discernment is not suspicion. It is spiritual awareness. It is the quiet understanding that every encounter is an opportunity to reflect Christ—or reject Him.

So examine your relationships.

Ask yourself:
Am I drawing others toward God, or away from Him?
Am I compromising to keep someone, or trusting God enough to let them go?
Am I passing the test?

Stay near to Him. Seek His voice daily. When your heart is aligned with His, confusion fades. Decisions become sharper. Peace becomes stronger.

Give God praise and thanksgiving—not only for the people who comfort you, but also for the ones who refine you. Both are evidence that He is shaping your path and ordering your steps.

I'm Tired of Waiting for Jesus

Is it this year? Next year? Many of you are awaiting the return of Jesus Christ, and some of you are getting very weary as the time draws nearer. Don't give up the fight to overcome the many challenges of this world.  Don't give up on the promises of Christ. Don't give up on love and never get tired of doing good as the Apostle Paul writes in Galatians 6:9 , “Let us not grow weary while doing good; for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.”  The Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon to gather his bride, and we will have the most spectacular marriage supper that has never been had before. "Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb..." Revelation 19:9. As you know, it is not in the Father's will for anyone to perish ( II Peter 3:9 ), but for all to come to repentance and experience that glorious place that he has prepared for us. No eye has seen and no imagination can fathom what the heavenly Father has p...

The Great Tribulation I

The Coming Plaque of North America God’s Judgment is Fast Approaching Exodus 15:26, “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of theses diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.” Luke 21:36, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”     When we look up the Greek word for escape in the Strong’s Concordance 1628 it means = to escape; escaped; fled out; fled. Now, when we look at Jeremiah 51:45 God says, “My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD. When we look up the Hebrew word for mids t in the Strong’s Concordance 8432 it means = middle, midst, c...
