We have learned from our mothers, our grandmothers, great-grandmothers and aunts, how to have an active prayer life and how to direct our prayers accordingly. We have seen the tears of our mothers and grandmothers and even from women we do not know. We have seen the bond and support between friends who have loss a loved one or going through a particular issue. We have seen on many occasions how our African American sisters come together in a time of need. With everything that is going on in the world today.
